Hey friends!

Welcome back to my space! Today I bring you, yet another method to waste your time. Because what better thing to do right? Kidding, no really. So Aidan is REAAALLLY into Reddit and I've never understood why, he could spend ages just scrolling and giggling to himself and when I look over to his phone, it's just blocks of texts, a couple of screenshots and the odd gif here and there.

So, in a bid to find more common ground with him, because we both really don't have much in common (which is really weird given that we have been together for just over three years now), I downloaded the app. Spent a couple of days just finding my way around it and let me tell you, going on Reddit has been pretty much part of my 'daily routine' these days now and I thought it would be fun to just share with you guys some of my favourite threads and just a couple of funny submissions with their posts that you might hopefully enjoy it too!

1. R/ChoosingBeggars
I don't know why but I always pronounce it as 'choosy beggars' and before I subscribed to it, that was all I'd type in the search bar and it always comes up short so yes, Choosing Beggars.

Basically it's a thread where people share their encounters with some of the worst people ever. You know the kind of person that just doesn't know when to stop, doesn't know how to be grateful and just the kind where they expect the world but give little to nothing in return. This is probably my favourite thread just because I've had my fair share of Choosing Beggars in my days but it is always fun to see how far people would go to be 'cheap'!

2. R/PettyRevenge
So this to me is like a little feel good thread, one for what's left of the good people kind of thing you know? The submissions mainly revolve around people telling how they've gotten back at the people who've done them wrong in either some massive or little way and it's just really fun to see them score that little victory. I personally love this because there are too many times where I wish I did something to stand up for myself, whether openly or not and more often than not, the not doing so part kind of digs at me for a little too long.

So when I'm diving into this thread and seeing people kind of sort of take a stand of themselves and not let people take ~ too ~ much advantage of them, it makes me want to do a little victory fist pump! Although I just have to say, there are some ways/things that people do to get back at the idiots in their life that I do not agree with so read at your own digression!

3. R/gifsthatkeepongiving
If you know me, you know that I am the biggest fan of gifs. If I could just communicate in Gifs all day everyday, whether in formal or casual setting, I would! And this brings me back to my masters days where my tutors would actually be okay with me responding to them in gifs? HOW COOL. Anyway, the name of this thread speaks for itself - it's just full of gifs that are either punny, relatable, hilarious or just you know, sometimes a little educational.

Also, I personally love watching short videos without sound or having to pause what I'm doing and open a new window to watch a ten second clip so this thread ticks all the right boxes for me.

4. R/Badroomates
Oh My Goodness - this thread makes me go 'ugh' more than anything. Personally when I'm on the thread I feel horrible for the room mates that have to put up with shitty situations and due to many reasons like monetary or other commitments like university, they can't just drop out and find someone better to live with.

So I guess this thread is pretty cool in a way where people with horrible room mates get to band together and know that they are not alone dealing with crappy situations but also seek help and maybe find themselves in a better place!

5. R/EntitledBitch
Okay, disclaimer - this thread will make you pissed. Entitled people in general are bloody annoying on their own but this thread actually shows a worse side of them if that is even possible? It explores personal experiences or even just a something they see someone pull on the internet and it really makes you wonder - WHO RAISED THEM CREATURES!

People who act like the world revolves around them really do grind my gears so I try not to read it that often but sometimes you just got to do it.

So there you have it! Five of the best reddit threads that I'm currently loving when I'm on the app - if you are on there or just need something lighthearted (not really) to read while you're commuting or on the toilet, don't forget to check them out! X
