Hey friends!

It's been a hot minute since I wrote about anything beauty related and thought it's about time! I've been trying a ton of beauty/skincare products because my face hasn't been dealing well with stress and I found some that I really like and actually works pretty well so I thought it'd be nice to share them with you.

1. Cleansing pads

Corx one step pimple clear pad and clearasil cleansing pad

I was really into cleansing pads back in 2015 but I stopped because I got lazy but I've since picked them up again just because of the sheer convenience and the effect it brings just from a tiny little piece of cotton pads.

I have two different kinds for day and night: I usually use the Cosrx, One Step Pimple Clear Pad in the morning after I wash my face to cleanse any remaining dirt that the facial wash didn't manage to take off and also this has a more gentle surface as compared to the one I use at night.

I'm using the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pads for my night time routine as with it's slightly more textured surface, I feel that it can remove the remaining make up or sunblock that was used in the day and since I've probably had these products on for a couple of hours, I thought that a more textured cotton pad can cleanse better!

I just use one piece of the cleansing pad in the day and night, wipe my face in circular motions and continue my skincare routine after my skin has absorbed the product left from it.

2. Pimple patches

As you know, my skin is prone to blemishes and literally haven't had clear skin since the day I started my masters so I've been using all sorts of products to keep the spots at bay. From pimple creams to witch hazel gel, I found that the product that works best for me is the COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patches.

They typically come in a pack of 24 patches of different sizes and I just stick one on my spot for at least 8 hours and the next day, the size of the spot will be greatly reduced and sometimes it's just dried out and healing! Just bear in mind that the longer you leave it on your skin, the better the effect is but I highly recommend a minimum of eight hours!

3. Glossier cloud paint

Cream blushes and morphe brush

Since my schedule has been getting rather packed, I haven't had the luxury of time to sit and do a full face as often as I would like. However, one of the many things that I try to incorporate into my make up routine as and when I remember is the Glossier Cloud Paint.

I had these babies for awhile since they first became available to order in the UK but never really gave them a proper chance until recently when I was looking for a quick and hassle free way to apply a blush. You know, minus the whole using a brush and all that jazz. And yes, I know you can use your fingers to apply powder brush but somehow, someway, your blush just looks more natural and well-blended into your cheeks with it is a cream product?

Maybe it is the warmth of the fingers that help smooth the product in but I love the natural flush the cloud paint finishes in, it's like adding a little pop of colour on your cheeks and you're good to go1

4. Gloss

Colourpop lip gloss

I remember the days when I  used to be obsessed with lip products but after noticing how much I eat them off (yes, sad but true) I've just became lazy? But I've decided to give Colourpop's glosses a go because I feel like they are one of the trends for Spring and a glossy lip gives you an effortlessly natural look you know?

Plus I love the versatility of them, you can put on a clear gloss, a nude gloss or even use them as a topper over a bright lip!

5. Better Than Sex

New favourite mascara

Pretty saucy for a header but the product that I have been absolutely loving is the Too Faced better than sex mascara. I feel like I am very late to the party because this mascara is AMAZING. It gives so much volume to your lashes with just one coat and it just lifts your entire face up! It makes it looks as if you have some fluttery falsies on but it's really just the product and it's really easy to remove too.

I don't know what else I can say about this but trust me on this one, you have to try it if you haven't already!

6. Avene cream

I actually chanced upon this on accident when winter came around because my hands were so dry they were peeling. I had to pop into boots to look for a handcream but they were already closing so I ran to a random counter and it was Avene's! I just picked up the one which says hydration because you know, you can never go wrong with that. And within minutes of applying the product my hands felt so soft and moisturized! Even Aidan who was holding my hand before and after I applied the product went like: wow, that product makes your hand feel so different - erm, thanks?

I got the cream in the lighter and rich version for in case the rich was too heavy for my face but it works fine especially at night! I just the lighter version when I was back home for easter and it absorbs really quickly and leaves the skin feeling moisturized but not covered in product.

So if you're looking for a moisturizer that doesn't cost too much, I recommend Avene's since you can tailor it according to the needs of your skin!

7. Rose hip oil

Sukin certified organic rose hip oiil

Speaking of tailoring skincare products, I have been adding two drops of rose hip oil into my moisturizer at night and applying it onto my face! It really helps with any scarring from blemishes plus it serves as an extra layer of moisture and to seal in all the products that was previously applied!

I know there are many ways to apply oils, some say it should be the base of your skincare and some say it should be at the end. It really depends on what works for you, I found that applying it as a base doesn't help other products like my serum to absorb properly so I just mix it in with my moisturizer! So experiment with it and find whichever method that works out for you because no two skin types are the same and they all work differently!

8. Benefit precisely, my brow eyebrow pencil

Prior to this product, I was using the Benefit goof proof eyebrow pencil but the corners just wasn't working out for me. Plus I find that this product can either come out very lightly or when the littlest pressure, your brows will look like they were smeared by charcoal. So I tried out the precisely, my brow eyebrow pencil hoping that the narrow applicator can give me more control and it sure did! This is perfect to fill it any gaps in your brows and since it is super thin, you can fill them in without having your brows over-drawn!

9. Face scrub

Tea tree 3 in 1 face mask scrub

Exfoliation to me is a very important step because my nose is like a breeding ground for black heads if I don't clean them out often. I've been using a mix of the Daiso peeling gel and face scrubs about 3 times a week to clean my face in the shower and I've really been enjoying face scrubs just because of the exfoliants unclogs the pores and removes any dirt stucked in areas like the side of the nose and the chin! One of the products I've been loving is the Tea Tree 3-in-1 Wash Scrub Mask from The Body Shop.

10. Bath and body works body cream

bath and body works lavender body lotion

The last product that I've been loving is the Bath & Body Works body cream from their Aromatherapy range that I picked up during my trip to Singapore. Here's one thing you have to know about me, I very rarely sleep through the entire night. There will be times where I get up for water, to use the toilet or just be awake and sometimes I take awhile to go back to sleep and on days where I have to be up early, it's really draining.

BUT ever since I apply this product before bed, I sleep like a baby. I sleep throughout the entire night and don't wake up until my body gets enough sleep which is 8 full hours. It can be a very bad thing especially if I know I'm not going to get enough sleep but this just helps me rest very well which is something I am really grateful for!

Since bath and body works do not have a store in UK, I feel a bit panicky about finishing this but I found this online store which carries it and I made an order for two back up orders. It's slightly more expensive than if I purchase it from the store but if it arrives safely, it's all good! And if you're in the UK and would want a body lotion that is similar to what I have, try the LUSH Sleepy! I heard it works wonders and I have a sample tub and it smells really alike to the Bath and Body Works product! It is just in a lighter formula and instead of a tube you get it in a tub. If you have tried it or are going to, please let me know if it helps you sleep!

And that marks the end of my post sharing with you the 10 beauty/skincare products that I've been loving! I hope that you've enjoyed it and I will see you on the next post!
