Glossier haul & review

by - 12:00:00

Hey friends!

Hope you're well. This week's post is such an exciting one because I finally got my hands on Glossier products! They announced that they are going to start shipping to the UK on the 9th October when they only shipped to Canada and US previously.

Here is an overview of the products that I've gotten and I am so in love with the packaging! Who doesn't love simple packaging with a hint of pink? I know I do!

The first item I'm going to share with you guys is the Balm Dotcom for £10. This is probably my favourite product out of the lot! Sometimes the simplest of things are the best! Trust me when I say that I've tried more lip balms than you can ever count because I've had chapped lips since the braces days and I cannot go without them for even half a day.

What I love about this product is that it doesn't feel heavy on your lips at all but it hydrates it so well! You know how some hydrating lip balms just form this seal or layer of thick product that sits on your lips and you can barely move them properly? This is nothing like that!

A little bit of this product goes a very, very long way and they do last until you have food!

This is how it looks like on my lips - yes I know you can barely tell! (Please pardon my spots, I am going through a very stressful phase)

The only downside I have with this product is that it doesn't come as a full tube? I don't know if you're able to see but 3/4 of the pink part is empty?

The second item is the Boy Brow. It is a tinted brow gel made of a waxy formula. I don't think that it contains fibre and it fills your brows with the tint instead of fibres? I'm not a 100% sure about that but one thing I have to mention is that I cannot use this product on its own? It doesn't fill your brows in like a pencil do whereas the Too Faced Brow Quickie does.

Personally, for the price, this product is tinnyyyy

But as all of their products, a little bit goes a long way. I use this on top of my Benefit Goof Proof brow pencil and it just gives my brows that little bit of dimension by darkening the hairs! You can save some money by getting the Boy Brow + Haloscope Duo for £28!

The next product is the one that I was the most excited for - Cloud paint! I got the duo for £25, it is £15 each.

I love love love the packaging, it is exactly like a tube of paint and it's adorable!

I got the colours Dusk and Haze and not going to lie, Haze came darker than I expected. On the website, it looked more mauvey and muted whereas in real life it's almost a megenta?

Unlike the Balm Dotcom, this comes with a seal which is great because the product is very watery!

Left: Haze, Right: Dusk

I reallllyyy need you to trust me when I tell you this - a tiny drop goes a long long long way. Be VERY careful when you're squeezing product out of the tube because you only need a very tiny bit but it usually comes out as a huge dollop which is way more than you'll want. If that happens, try release the air and let the tube do its job of sucking the excess product back in! And yes, the product is tiny again, for the price!

However, it feels very light on the skin, blends out effortlessly with your fingers and you can definitely build it up and even use it as a cream eyeshadow! I got the Cloud Paint Duo and again, it's cheaper than getting them individually!

Next up - Super Glow at £24

It is essentially a vitamin serum that is said to brighten your face and give you that effortless glow when you're all energized and ready to take on the day

It is water-based and like the website describes, your skin absorbs it fully and there isn't a sticky residue after. I've been using this twice a day for a week now and I do feel that my skin looks less tired and dull!

The next product I got is the Haloscope which is a highlighter stick!

I mean, you know me and I'm the biggest highlighter lover you'll ever know but this product was such a disappointment. Even though it applies easily, I feel that it's really oily and instead of a glow, I feel like I have an oil slick on my cheeks and that is not flattering is it! But it could be entirely due to my skin type and I feel like this would work on the middle of your lids or on the tip of your nose.

I initially did not want to include this product on this post because I haven't gotten my hands on it yet but since trying the sample of the Milk Jelly Cleanser for £15 each, I've fallen in love with it!

It is SO gentle yet leaves your face feeling so clean. You know how some gentle cleanser makes you feel like you have some dirt left on your face because it just doesn't feel clean? This doesn't! It's going to be great for morning face wash or even your make up remover if you'd prefer.

After trying the sample, I immediately went on and got myself two bottles and I cant wait for them to reach me already.

And that is all for my haul! If I had to recommend two things that you should get if it is your first time ordering, it would definitely be the Balm Dotcom and the Milk Jelly Cleanser for an almost fail-proof experience. If you're into your make up, the cloud paint was a great purchase and do pick the colours properly as they sure did not reflect the swatches I saw online!

I hope that this helps you and if you want 10% off your first order while putting some credit into my glossier account so I can spend more with them, please use my link: http://bff.glossier.com/gN5Fb and no this is not sponsored! Everyone gets a link after your first purchase :)

Glossier currently ships to USA, Canada and the UK (woohoo!) but for my Singaporean readers, I found these websites that does Glossier products - ALTCOS | BLUSHBOSS | SHOPEE

P/S: I have no affiliation to these websites and I am not 100% sure that they are credible and authentic so please purchase at your own risk and make sure you do your research to get the best products!
