Windowsill Pies Cafe

Hey guys!
So i finally went for a cafe visit after two weeks and i went to Windowsill Pies Cafe. Windowsill Pies specializes in well, pies! They do serve a number of main dishes which i would say was very good and i enjoyed it very much! The place is situated in quite a secluded place and you'll have to walk about 5 to 10minutes walk depending on where you alight!

You can get there by alighting at Lavender MRT station and walk about 10 minutes there or alight at Bishan MRT station, exit C and take bus 13, alighting at Hock Seng building after 15minutes (20 stops) which is about 5 minutes walk away!

The cafe was very cosy on a weekday afternoon, really quiet and they provide free wifi as well! The staffs were very, very friendly and helpful! They don't hesitate to take their time to explain and recommend dishes to you which i thought was a huge plus point!

The main dish menu

Really cute and cosy setting, it's like a tree-house feel! So cute, loved it here!

Chai Latte $6 - This was really interestingly yummy, first time trying out chai latte and i'm liking it! The waitress accidentally spilled a tiny bit of drink onto the saucer and immediately ran to grab a new saucer and apologizing, great great service!

He ordered iced milk $4.50, which i did not try because i'm lactose intolerant but he said it was really.. milky? (hahaha)

Beef Sandwich $14 - This was REALLY good! The beef slices were cooked to perfection and the serving was really generous! This chips and salad compliments the burger as well! Love how they "french-toast" styled the burger buns, so good!

Atas KBB $12 - For those who know, this is kong ba bao but atas style! This is so good as well! They are served in 3 different sauces and my favorite one was the original, the buns were super crispy but not oily and the pork was cooked till it was really tender and flavourful, loved it!

Strawberry Lemon - If you love sour stuff, do give this a go! I feel that this is a more "female" pie because of the flavour. Super refreshing though, taste really new and interesting!

Grasshopper - Honestly i ordered this because of how pretty it looked, its peppermint with chocolate! I love the pie crust at the bottom, kind of like the apple strudel crust i feel!

I didn't catch the exact price of the pies but it should be between $6.50 to $7!

TIPS:
1) If you are planning to stay for long, find a seat near the walls where they have sockets available!
2) Approach the staffs for the wifi password
3) Ask the staffs for food recommendations and their personal favorites - you won't regret

That is all! I might be trying out a few more cafes in the coming days/weeks so keep a look out at this space for updates!
